St. John the Baptist church, Stanbridge
History
The Church of St John the Baptist became a Grade I listed building on 3 February 1967. It was a former chapel of ease to Leighton Buzzard until it became a separate benefice in 1735.
Features
Ironstone with Totternhoe stone. South aisle and chancel. Late C15 chancel. Slightly later arcades of 4 bays with octagonal piers and double chamfered arches. C15 west tower and clerestory. Octagonal Jacobean pulpit. Church much restored late C19.
